HOLISTIC AND INTEGRATIVE APPROACH

COMMUNITY-CENTERED MINDSET

Our Mission

Grove Health's purpose is
to provide compassionate
pediatric primary care
with a focus on building
long-term health, because every child deserves to thrive.

We’re passionate about helping our patients—and their parents—feel less like numbers and more like the awesome people they are. To that end, our membership model gives families ample time with their provider to address each and every concern; it also connects them with the community resources they need to facilitate their child’s long-term health. Grove Health is all about fostering connection, providing individualized care, and incorporating a holistic and integrative approach that meets families where they are.

Stephanie is dedicated to supporting parents, understanding each family’s unique needs, and providing individualized care to each patient. Stephanie has been a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner since 2012 and has nearly two decades of experience in the field. After working as an RN with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and completing her graduate studies, Stephanie worked as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner providing primary care to children in rural Georgia. She went on to play a key role in establishing the pediatric integrative medicine practice at CentreSpring MD in Atlanta. She has also enjoyed participating in surgical mission trips in Ecuador and Brazil.

As a working mother, Stephanie is a well-rounded, compassionate, and holistically minded child health advocate. Her faith and family fuel her drive for helping other parents live a lifestyle that promotes the health of their children. Stephanie has two daughters and a loving husband, all of whom she enjoys spending time with in the kitchen, outdoors, or wherever else they may be together.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • DPC is a healthcare model that emphasizes a direct relationship between patients and their primary care provider, without the involvement of insurance companies or third-party payers. In this model, patients typically pay a monthly or annual fee for access to primary care services such as preventative care, acute and chronic disease management, and coordination of care with other specialists as needed. By eliminating the administrative burdens associated with insurance billing and reimbursement, DPC providers can focus on delivering high-quality patient-centered care and promoting better health outcomes.

  • No, all GHP members are self-pay. We encourage all our members to have health insurance for services we don’t provide, such as emergency medical care, specialists, and lab costs.

We’re happy to provide you with receipts that you can use to apply for reimbursement, but most health insurance companies will not reimburse the cost of DPC memberships. Our focus is serving you, not 3rd party payers, and we’re excited to provide great care with transparent pricing, easy access to your provider, and longer appointment times!

  • GHP is a membership model for several reasons, all of which result in better care at a lower cost:

    • Transparent pricing and lower overhead (bye-bye surprise bills and paperwork)

    • Improved access to your provider (hello phone, text, patient portal, and same- or next-day appointments)

    • Longer appointment times with a focus on preventive care (let’s talk about long-term health!)

Compared to a conventional fee-for-service model, we’re able to spend a lot more time with our patients and deliver personalized care. By emphasizing preventative care and chronic disease management, DPC practices often help their members reduce long-term healthcare costs by identifying and addressing health issues early on, before they become more serious and expensive to treat.

And healthcare needs don't always arise during regular business hours; being able to easily communicate with your provider can be a game-changer for many families. Whether you have a quick question or need advice on a particular issue, we're here to support you every step of the way.

We believe healthcare shouldn’t be transactional, and our membership model is a reflection of that. Our commitment to the long-term health of your family includes upfront pricing, increased provider access, personalized care, and the peace of mind that comes with it.

  • CPNP-PC stands for Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a focus in Primary Care. A CPNP-PC is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) who is also board certified in providing health care for children and adolescents. In order to obtain certification, CPNP-PCs must successfully pass a rigorous national board examination and exhibit evidence of ongoing professional development on an annual basis. Throughout appointments, CPNP-PCs prioritize and advocate for the optimal physical and emotional health of children through the provision of high-quality care.

CPNP-PCs have the knowledge and skills to:

    • Diagnose

    • Order tests

    • Treat and manage care

    • Prescribe

    • Make referrals

CPNP-PCs offer a range of primary care health services by assessing, screening, evaluating, and diagnosing children from infancy to young adulthood. They develop a comprehensive therapeutic plan that includes both pharmacological and non-pharmacological strategies, patient and family education, and referral to other healthcare team members if necessary.

  • We use a HIPAA-compliant app for secure texting, and offer telehealth as well. We also have a secure online Patient Portal for other types of communications, like sharing lab results and treatment plans. And of course, you can always call our office at (850) 318-9676.

With these tools, many issues can be resolved without the need for an in-person visit to the clinic.
